Pastor John Wesley Taylor
Testimonial: Julie Immelt Wheldon
Scripture
Acts 7:54-60, John 9:1-11, 23-26, 35-39
When he had said this, he spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva and spread the mud on the man’s eyes, saying to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). Then he went and washed and came back able to see. – John 9: 6-7

Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, Lead Courageously – Miracle Sunday Initiative
Church members are invited to learn more about the Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, Lead Courageously – Miracle Sunday Initiative, a global effort within The United Methodist Church to strengthen theological education and raise up 500 new pastors across Africa, Europe, and the Philippines.
This initiative seeks to address the global disparity in clergy education and to support the development of strong, well-prepared leaders throughout the worldwide United Methodist connection. Congregations across the denomination will participate in a six-week study and worship series from April 12 through May 17, joining together in prayer, learning, and shared mission.
A conference-wide webinar will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 PM to introduce the initiative and share stories from the global church. Members are encouraged to attend and learn how local congregations can participate in this meaningful effort.

Memorial Trees Update

Visitors to the church this Sunday may notice that several of the small trees along the driveway have been removed. Following damage from the recent blizzard, the Trustees carefully assessed the trees and discovered that broken branches and trunks had revealed underlying disease. Unfortunately, it was determined that the trees could not be saved.
These trees were planted as memorial trees when the church addition was completed in 2001–2002, and their loss is deeply felt. A plaque in the solarium honoring those memorials will remain on display as a lasting tribute to the loved ones they represent.
Plans are already underway to plant new trees along the entranceway, and the church invites those who wish to consider donating a tree in memory of a loved one.
The Trustees faced a difficult decision, and we are grateful for their thoughtful leadership in caring for the church grounds. Those interested in learning more about the tree disease or the decision process are welcome to speak with Dave Eaton.
