Above: In the context of the narrative of the Prodigal Son, this painting portrays a poignant scene capturing a powerful moment of a father figure racing towards his long-lost son, who has at last returned home.
So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. – Luke 15:20

Classified Ads for Church Members
Patty Kilmain is searching for a new place to live. She would like to find a stand-alone residence which is a studio or one bedroom unit. One floor would be ideal. Anywhere in the town of Barnstable and its villages would be great. If you know of anyone with a guest house or in-law apt. that might be available on a year-round basis, please give Patty a call 617-894-4858.
We have a generous donation to our yard sale of a lovely reclining chair. We can’t move it to the Annex, so Susan Jenkins has stored it in her garage for us. We are selling it for just $25. Please call Susan (916-765-8269) or the church office if you are interested.
Committed to Serve—You are Making a Difference
We have four wonderful gifts to celebrate. Your Board of Trustees has been busy, with the help of the Lend a Hand group, making needed repairs and beautifying the church and our three other buildings. Our solarium carpet needed a deep cleaning. Rebecca and John Mincieli arranged for a professional service to do the cleaning and they covered the cost. We needed repairs to the irrigation system at the Annex so we could keep the lawn from turning to dust. Carl and Sharron Riedell paid for those repairs. Our Rainbow’s End building was badly in need of a new roof. Jack Cotton made arrangements with a contractor for a greatly reduced price and donated half the cost. Our church shutters have never been painted and are looking quite dingy. An anonymous donor came forward to cover the entire cost of the job to paint all our shutters. God is at work through our generous members to help us make our church a welcoming, well cared for (see the love) place for people to gather, worship and serve. Thanks!
Altar Flowers. If you would like to donate flowers for the altar, please sign up on the bulletin board by the restroom in the solarium and fill out a form for Jane and leave it on her desk. The arrangements are $50.00. You may leave a check with your order or drop one off when convenient.
!!!!!Be extremely careful of Scams on your computers. Jane almost let an intruder posing as Microsoft who displayed a huge warning of an illegal intruder on her office computer fool her. It shut off her whole system and instructed her to call Microsoft. DO NOT CALL THEM. Turn your computer off and reboot.
