Committed to Serve—You are Making a Difference!
Update on Our 2023 Pledge Campaign! Make a difference by picking up your pledge packets in the solarium this Sunday, November 6. This will save us money on postage and give you plenty of time to prayerfully consider your pledge for 2023. We thank you for listening to our presentations, reading our materials, wearing your “One person can make a difference” pins and sharing that message with others. Keep spreading the word about what God is doing at our church and bring your pledge cards to church on Sunday, November 13 or mail them in the addressed envelope in your packet. Visit our Stewardship page HERE.
Help Make the Holiday Fair on November 19 a Big Success!
- Make a difference by purchasing tickets and enjoy an evening with your church friends. Maybe even meet someone new! On Saturday, November 12, there will be a delicious pork roast dinner with all the fixings served at church. Tickets will be $15.00 for adults and $7.50 for children. Buy them after Sunday services, in the church office Monday – Thursday or call the office to reserve them. There are sign up posters on the table by the door in the solarium to volunteer to help. Many hands make light work!
- You can bake cookies and other goodies for our food table. You can volunteer to help on that Saturday or during the week as we set up. We need some strong backs to set up tables and chairs and bring boxes of treasurers from our basement to various rooms. You can peel apples for our delicious apple pies. Sign up today or call the church office to have your name added to the list (508-428-2811) Mark your calendar. We are so excited to be again having our wonderful Holiday Fair.
- Donate contents for our Holiday Fair Gift Baskets Thank you to those who have donated baskets this year. Right now, we have 30 gift baskets – and they are great! But there is always room for more. We could use a “Make your own Pizza” basket..….” Chocolate Basket”….small holiday hostess gifts make a thoughtful basket…..if your nail stylist can donate a gift card and a bottle or two of polish, that makes a great small gift. If you can’t donate to gift baskets, please don’t forget our cookie and bake tables. See you at the Fair!
- Other Donations for the Holiday Fair and Yard Sales If you have things that you would like to donate, please call Marsha Egasti 774-361-6226. After January 16 through May 31, 2023, we will not be accepting donations. No donations should be placed anywhere on the church property without contacting the church office first. We do not want any of the following items: silver plate, rusted, dented, scratched, chipped, cracked, dirty, broken, torn, ripped, stained, musty, mothball smelling clothing or linens. No used electronic items, old travel/textbooks or magazines, VHS tapes, slide trays, car seats, cribs, highchairs, broken or damaged furniture/lamps/pictures. Anything of special value, let us know. We do appreciate all that you have donated and look forward to your future generosity.
Help Anna Lovelette! She is working on an Eagle Scout Project at our outside Blaine Taylor Chapel putting up railings at the entrances. She will be working on this endeavor on Sunday, November 13 and Sunday, November 20 right after church. Any help or donations would be great!
Aid for Florida If you want to make a donation to help the survivors of hurricane Ian, you can make a check out to UMC with a memo to Florida relief. We will send it to UMCOR where 100% will be sent to Florida relief.

Other Announcements/Events
Auction Update! Thanks to everyone who made our 2022 Online Auction a huge success this year! The total revenue raised from the auction was $5,380.00. We could not have done it without the many generous donations from our church family, the many who bid on the auction items and of course the winners! We had a total of 20 winners with some as far away as Florida! Many thanks to everyone who helped and participated! And a special thank you to Sonja Sheasley who worked endless hours on the Air Auctioneer website!
We want to remember your Birthdays and Anniversaries! Let the office know your dates so that we can celebrate.
Arrangements for Sunday services are available for $50. You may choose whom you wish to honor and for the Sunday you would prefer. Give Jane a call 508-428-2811 or pick up a form on the bulletin board outside the bathroom in the Solarium.
Hello, all knitters, it is time to begin meeting in person again. I am proposing that we meet in the 1st Sunday of each month between services in the Parlor. I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. I’ve missed this. Please invite others too! – Debbie
