March 19, 2022
Beautiful Beloveds,
Lots of things can be medicine… Earlier this week, someone asked a small group of pastors, “What are the release valves in your life?” The answers started pretty standard, “I walk; I read; I craft.” Then we dove a little deeper. “Time with family; a really good meal; total silence; a workout.” I like bad movies, especially movies meant to be scary. Sand sharks and Sharknado made me laugh until I cried. And Velocipastor, featuring a priest who turns into a dinosaur. So bad and so good. Many things can be medicine for the heart and soul.
Lots of things can be medicine: physical affection, exercise, silence, a walk on the beach or in the woods, poetry, music, comedy, and on and on and on. What is medicine for your mind, body, and soul? This week, as our “Good Enough,” series continues, we’re reminded, “Lots of things can be medicine…” What does your soul need on these difficult days? In a world that calls for quick fixes, give yourself the gift of time to heal and find wholeness one moment, one breath, one day at a time. We remain, Together in Christ…Committed to Serve.
Peace,
Heather

Care for Creation
Green Tip Recycle old crayons. Broken, wrapped, or barely used—ship them to Crazy Crayons to remold. The National Crayon Recycling Program has already kept 120,000 pounds from landfills. Better yet, do a crayon drive to collect even more. This project is easy to do with children and helps them understand the importance of creation care.
