Deepest Sympathies and prayers for the family of Mike Bodley, Joane’s son. Mike died yesterday morning at home.
Please pray for the family of LaVerne Parry. LaVerne died last night at McCarthy Care Center. Her funeral will be later in July.
Please pray for Betty Kelly. Betty is in the hospital with a ruptured appendix. At this time she is quite miserable and does not want visitors.
An Update from our COVID-19 Leadership Task Force on Safety Protocols
As we continue our re-entry process, our building is now open to small groups of 12 or less in the Solarium. For the health and safety of everyone, please do not walk into the solarium while a group is meeting. Please call the church office to make an appointment 508.428.2811, rather than drop by. You can also check the church calendar, here, to know if groups are meeting.
As we Gather on the Green, Sundays at 9:30am, we invite you to bring your own coffee hour. Feel free to bring your own coffee or beverage to enjoy before, during, or after worship.
Next steps: Rainbow’s End will open on July 1st! The store will open at 10:30 am till 3:00 pm. Thanks to all the volunteers who have helped get the store ready for the summer season. We would not be able to open without your wonderful assistance. If you would would like to help, or have items to donate, please call shop manager, Pamela Turner, at 508-548-2245.
Our funding team will meet later this month to explore the possibility of a summer yardsale.
Additionally, Wendy Lithwin is working to recruit and train a new team of Sanctuary Shepherds so that we can open our sanctuary as a prayer chapel, for individuals and families to pray. Stay tuned for days and times, and how to reserve your time for prayer.
Pictures, photos and artwork. We would love to do another Calendar, more note cards and Christmas cards for our Holiday Fair. This will only happen with help from all of you. Look through your cell phone photos. I bet you may have many shots of nature and our beautiful Cape landscapes that would be perfect for our Calendar.
Your kids or grandchildren may also have created some artwork that might be appropriate. With summer just beginning, think about taking some new photographs, doing some new artwork and asking the kids to do the same. Please call or email me if you have submissions. I am so looking forward to hearing from you. office@umcchurches.org. 508-428-2811.
