Sermon
As Jesus Walks With Us, Let Us Recognize Him – Pastor John Wesley Taylor
Scripture
Hebrews 12:1-3. Luke 24: 13-35.
They said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?” That same hour, they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together. They were saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and he has appeared to Simon!” Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread.
– Luke 24: 32-35

Last Week to Support a Run for a Cause
There’s still time to make a difference.
Diane Huban is running the Boston Marathon in support of FamilyAid, a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to helping families experiencing homelessness. Through comprehensive, wrap-around services, FamilyAid works to keep children safe, support parents, and help families build stable, independent futures.
Your support—no matter the amount—directly contributes to this mission.
Donations can be made by cash or check (payable to Diane Huban) and dropped off at the church.
Let’s come together in this final week to cheer Diane on and support families who need it most.
Exciting News from the Trustees

🌳 The New Trees Are In!
Our new trees have officially been planted—and they’re off to a beautiful start!
As they take root, they will need consistent care and watering throughout this first year to thrive. In addition, new irrigation is needed, along with ongoing annual maintenance to ensure these trees remain healthy and vibrant for years to come.
On Easter, Pastor John announced the “Tree Fund” campaign, with a goal of raising at least $20,000 to support this important effort. We are grateful to Beacon Gardens, who provided a significant discount and professionally planted the trees.
Donations may be made:
- In memory or honor of a loved one
- To the Glory of God
- Or with another special designation
These gifts will help sustain the trees and build on the generosity already pledged.
To contribute, please mark your checks “New Trees.”
The trees are expected to be fully planted by the end of April, so time is of the essence.
Thank you for helping nurture this beautiful addition to our church grounds for generations to come..

Wheels for Zeb & Barry
ides to Sunday Worship – Volunteers Needed
We’re organizing rides for members of our church community who are eager to attend the 10:00 am Sunday service—and we’d love your help.
A sign-up calendar is available in the church office for those willing to drive.
- Zeb Olsen, who lives at 1 Buckskin Path in Centerville, is looking for a ride each Sunday.
- Barry Jones-Henry, a resident at Brookdale (just a short distance from Zeb), is also hoping to attend and would be deeply grateful for a ride.
With just one trip, you may be able to bring both to church.
Your time and kindness can make a meaningful difference—helping ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in worship and stay connected to our community.
Please stop by the church office to sign up. Thank you for being part of this effort.
