Sermon: Called to Shine!
Scripture Readings: Matthew 5:13-16 2 Corinthians 4: 1-10
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Jesus from Matthew 5:14-16

SONSHINE SUNDAY | February 8
It’s been a long, cold, snowy winter — so this Sunday we’re bringing the light. Join us for Sonshine Sunday, a joyful worship centered on Matthew 5:14–16: “You are the light of the world.”
Wear your brightest colors — the brighter the better! Hawaiian shirts welcome. Hawaiian leis will be shared and the sanctuary has been beautifully decorated to lift spirits and warm hearts. Let’s gather, shine our light, and be reminded that even in a season of darkness, we are called to reflect hope, love, and good works.
Also this Sunday:
We will take part in the Souper Bowl of Caring. Please bring a can or box of soup and loose change to support local food pantries.
Then return in the evening for fellowship at our Church Super Bowl Gathering at 6:15 PM in Fred Curtis Hall. Watch the first half and halftime show together. Bring a snack to share — all are welcome!

A Story Worth Revisiting
We’ve created a new page on our website dedicated to the story of our church’s growth, expansion, and the many faithful steps that brought us to where we are today. This page highlights the history behind our building, the vision for accessibility and inclusion, and the generosity that made it all possible.
We invite you to visit the page and watch the accompanying video, which brings this story to life and honors the many individuals whose faith, leadership, and generosity shaped our shared space. It’s a meaningful look back—and a reminder of the strong foundation we continue to build upon together.
