Sunday School takes place during the 10:00 AM service.
Pastor: Rev. John Wesley Taylor
Sermon: Lord, I Need You
Scripture Readings: Psalm 84:1-7, Luke 18:9-14
The Pharisee, standing by himself, was praying thus, ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people: thieves, rogues, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of all my income.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his home justified rather than the other; for all who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted.”- Luke 18:1-14

The 2026 Pledge Campaign
The 2026 Stewardship Campaign will give all of us an opportunity to support the missions and ministries of our church in new and exciting ways. In the spring our Church Council voted to increase our budget to include funding for the awesome Vacation Bible School we offered in August. We plan to do it again next year and need your continuing and increased support. In the summer, we voted to use some of our surplus from your generosity to begin making extra payments each month on our mortgage. The goal is to continue this into 2027 and retire the mortgage! Many new pledges and donations will be needed to accomplish this goal. You are the difference! Thanks for your loyalty and continued support. I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me. – The Stewardship Team

Our Holiday Fair is known far and wide as the “best on the Cape”. And part of this reputation is because of our Gift Basket area. In 1989 the United Methodist Women 4 circles each donated 2 gift baskets. We sold all 8 quickly. Since then our gift basket room has grown. Some years we have sold up to 120 baskets! All in thanks to your donations. This is a fun Mother/daughter project, or friends project, or couples project. Do one, do two, do three! All you need to do is purchase items for a themed gift basket. We will wrap it and label the contents. Please attach your name and cost of items, so you can price it correctly. Baskets sell best if we can price them $25 – $35.00.
Basket themes already in:
1. Everyone Loves Peanuts – Charles Schultz style
