Church Beach Picnic
Join us for a fun All-Church Beach Picnic on Sunday, September 14 at 3 PM at Dowses Beach (look for the big red umbrella). Bring a picnic lunch, lawn chair, and a friend! We’ll have games, singing, and ice cream treats for all. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll gather at the church instead. Everyone is welcome!

New Flags for the Sanctuary
Our new U.S. flag and Christian flag have arrived to replace the well-worn flags in the sanctuary. They will be carefully prepared and hung in time for worship on Sunday, November 9, just before Veteran’s Day. We look forward to seeing them displayed proudly as a sign of respect and gratitude.
Returning to Sierra Leone Tomorrow!
Patty & Allen Morell will finally be returning to Sierra Leone, West Africa tomorrow! They will be spending time with UMC Missions, the Child Reintegration Centre (CRC) and Mercy Hospital in Bo, as well as education programs in the north in Kono. Accompanying them and helping on the trip will be their daughter, Mandy, granddaughter, Viola, and Viola’s dad, Phil. They leave on September 14th. This family team would very much appreciate your prayers before they leave as they prepare, while they travel, during their time in country, as well as after they return and process this experience.

Harvest Dinner – November 8
Save the date for our Harvest Dinner on Saturday, November 8! Many hands are needed to make this a success. We’ll be serving a delicious menu of pork roast, applesauce, oven-brown potatoes, beans and carrots, squash, bread and butter, dessert, coffee, tea, and cider. Sides may be served family-style this year to keep things running smoothly. Ticket price will be set at the next planning meeting. Thank you to all who have already helped with donation requests! We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
- Set-up and prep
- Kitchen help
- Wait staff (4 needed)
- Dessert prep (3 needed)
- Clean-up crew
Secret Prayer Pal Ministry
Take part in our Secret Prayer Pal ministry! Write your name and address on a slip, place it in the box, and draw someone else’s name. Pastor’s Discretionary Fund
Our Pastor’s Discretionary Fund is in need of a boost. These funds help members of our church and others who are going through difficult times. In this Sunday’s bulletin, there is a Love Offering envelope which you can use to make a donation at any time to the fund. It will be a blessing to many people in need.
