Returning to Sierra Leone
Patty & Allen Morell will finally be returning to Sierra Leone, West Africa in September. They will be spending time with UMC Missions, the Child Reintegration Centre (CRC) and Mercy Hospital in Bo, as well as education programs in the north in Kono. Accompanying them and helping on the trip will be their daughter, Mandy, granddaughter, Viola, and Viola’s dad, Phil. They leave on September 14th. This family team would very much appreciate your prayers before they leave as they prepare, while they travel, during their time in country, as well as after they return and process this experience.
Join Our Membership Class
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH OR TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 16TH- 6:30PM
There will be a gathering of others who are considering joining the church on Wednesday, September 10th or Tuesday September 16th at 6:30pm. Those in attendance will learn about the history of the United Methodist Church and our own local church, and what joining our church means. Whether you are ready to join or not, please know how blessed we are that you are worshipping at OUMC. The membership meeting will be an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and get to know others.
Welcoming new members to our church community is one of my greatest joys as a pastor. Many have worshipped regularly at Osterville UMC and having them officially join through a profession of faith would be a great celebration for everyone. New members would commit to faithfully participate in the church’s ministries by their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. New members will also receive a blessing of support and love from the church family. Do not hesitate to call, text, or email me if you would like to talk about joining the church.
You are invited to prayerfully consider joining our church family on Sunday, September 21st or 28th at either service.
To all who have been attending worship but are not officially members-We are so very blessed by your presence in worship, fellowship and ministry. Please know how important you are to us as we grow in faith together.
