Come to Bible Study! You are cordially invited to our weekly Bible Study, held every Thursday at the church from 10 am to 11 am, where we examine the scriptures for the coming Sunday. This Sunday, we will reflect on a passage from Mark 8, where Jesus teaches us the paradox of gaining life by giving it up for His sake and the gospel.

Children/Youth Choir: Rehearsals: After the 10 am service
Christmas Fair Workshop! You are invited! A fair workshop will be held in the Annex every Tuesday from 9:00 – 12:00. We begin on Tuesday, May 7th. Every week we will work on craft items to sell at our holiday fair in November. If you can hand sew, sand wooden items, paint wooden items or glue, you can join us! The coffee will always be on….Join me on May 7th, ready to work. Please bring any nifty craft ideas that you might have seen this winter in your travels – ornaments or holiday decorative items. 2024 Plant Sale | Saturday, May 4th 9 am – 2 pm We need plants! While you are getting your gardens ready this spring, please bring in any of the plants that you need to divide or that you need to discard. We need pots to put them in. Any extra plastic or clay pots would be terrific. Any decorative plant or garden items that you no longer need are also welcome. Ceramic pots, gardening tools and anything that a gardener might need would be great. We also need volunteers. Please give Dave Eaton a call if you need help getting plants here or if you can give us a hand prior to the sale or on the day itself. 508-680-6779.

Foster Families Program, sponsored by the Cape Cod Council of Churches. This is the new program in which our church is participating.”
On Saturday afternoon, May 11th, there is going to be a Self-Care Workshop for the Foster Parents and Liaisons so our own Foster Mon will benefit. The Liaisons are putting together nine special bags, one for each of the Foster Parents. We need the congregation’s help providing these items no later than Wednesday, May 8th. Please look at the list below, and if you are able to purchase any or all of one of these items, please call Patty Morell (703-725-2773) before you make your purchase. Then Patty can let you know what has already been promised.

Food Pantry: Many thanks Church Family, for your donations of protein rich food in April! We are still collecting the following for both men and women homeless Veterans: new socks and T-shirts, any color – sizes S, M, L and XL. In Honor of Mothers’ Day during the month of May we are collecting specific items for A Baby Center (ABC), so please stay tuned and watch for a sign on the Food Pantry cupboard! Happy Mother’s Day in Advance from the Outreach Committee to all Moms, Single Dads, Grandparents, Teachers, and to Everyone Who Loves Children!
Prayer Shawl Ministry Meetings in the parlor the 1st Sunday of each month between services from 9:30 – 10:00.
Coffee Hour Donation Basket There is a basket on the coffee hour table should you wish to make a contribution towards our supplies. Thanks so much to those dedicated volunteers who bake and shop, set up and clean up!
Holiday Fair Costume Jewelry The red jewelry box is back on the table next to the solarium exit. We are again collecting jewelry for our Attic Treasurers jewelry room at our Holiday Fair. Thanks for your donations.
