Beautiful Beloveds,
This Sunday is UMCOR Sunday. UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee on Relief) represents our connectional system at its best. Utilizing the resources and generosity of our global denomination, UMCOR shows up in times of need to respond to natural and man-made disasters with compassion and tangible relief.
In 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, UMCOR responded to 55 unique disasters. They are often the first to arrive, and the last to leave. When you give to specific disaster relief, 100% of your gift is used to support survivors as they try to rebuild their lives. On UMCOR Sunday we collect to meet the administrative costs.
You can give directly to UMCOR here or through our church giving portal here. Your gifts support life saving ministries in time of dire need.
Peace,
Heather

Unpack the pandemic with Rolling Ridge
It doesn’t feel right to call it an “anniversary,” but in less than two weeks we will be marking one year of the pandemic shut down. On March 16, we invite you to pause and to reflect on the past year with an ONLINE retreat, “Unpacking the Pandemic: Marking a Year of Unknowing.” This session will be the first of three that looks beyond all that we’ve lost and focuses on how we can realize the lessons of the “dark night of the soul” in our spiritual development. Consider taking a long lunch from 11 am to 1 pm and join the conversation. There is spiritual truth to be found in the pandemic if we just make the time to consider it.
Committed to Serve—We are making a difference
