November 4, 2023, 6:00 p.m. – Harvest Fair Dinner – Delicious Roast Pork served with Mashed Potatoes, Savory Gravy, Fresh Green Beans. The meal begins with homemade Butternut Squash Soup and ends with an assortment of yummy desserts. Tickets are $15 per person $7 per child. Any help would be wonderful. GRAZIE MOLTO, Church Family for all of the Italian meal ingredients you provided last month! This month we are collecting foods to help our food challenged neighbors have a lovely Thanksgiving! Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and Jelly, Canned Green Beans, Corn and Squash, Boxed Mashed Potatoes, Canned Turkey Gravy, Olives, Assorted Kinds of Nuts, Pumpkin Pie Mix, . (Please no glass containers or fresh foods.)
Altar Flowers. If you would like to donate flowers for the altar, please sign up on the bulletin board by the restroom in the solarium and fill out a form for Jane and leave it on her desk. The arrangements are $50.00. You may leave a check with your order or drop one off when convenient.
Warning: Be extremely careful of Scams on your computers. Jane almost let an intruder posing as Microsoft who displayed a huge warning of an illegal intruder on her office computer fool her. It shut off her whole system and instructed her to call Microsoft. DO NOT CALL THEM. Turn your computer off and reboot.
Holiday Fair News, Happenings and Functions
GALLERY GIFTS ARE NEEDED. Hand Made or One-of-a-kind items for our gift gallery. Original art work, quilts, handmade pillows or knitted items and any other wonderful items that you may have.
COOKIES, COOKIES, COOKIES! The Holiday Fair Cookie Table is always very popular and we need your delicious homemade cookies to make it successful again this year. Cookies can be dropped off at church the day before the fair. If you have any questions please contact Laura Dunn. Thank you!
HELP IS NEEDED FOR THE JEWELRY ROOM OF THE CHRISTMAS FAIR. We are looking for help in pricing the jewelry. Please let the church know if you can help with this project – 508-428-2811.

HOLIDAY FAIR GIFT BASKET NEWS. The Holiday Fair is only two months away! We need items and ideas for our gift baskets, Drop off your donations on the table in the Solarium. Other ways to help with Gift Baskets…. Gift cards to any of the following: Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks’s, Centerville Pie Company, Sam Diego’s, Cape Cod Beer – or other local Craft Brewery, Black Dog, Trader Joe’s – any local fish market or any shop or restaurant that you would love to go to.
RECIPES, RECIPES, RECIPES. The Cookbook is in the works but will only be possible if you all send in some of your favorite recipes. Appetizers to Desserts and everything in between. Either email to office@umcchurches.com or drop them off at the office.
We are collecting cell phones that you are no longer using. They need to be data free and will be donated to the Independence House in Hyannis. Woman and children, that are the victims of domestic abuse, are housed there. The phones are still able to dial 911 in an emergency. There will be a basket in the solarium clearly labeled where they can be placed. If you also have extra chargers, they would be greatly appreciated. Change for Change A glass bottle for your change is near the food table in the solarium. The United Women in Faith (UMW) have put it there to collect money to ultimately aid local women and children. UWF Treasurer, Donna Bodley will take care of this change bottle weekly, and we thank you for your donations.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry will be meeting in the parlor the 1st Sunday of each month between services from 9:30 – 10:00.

Rainbow’s End Open Wednesday through Saturday 10:30 am till 3:00 pm We are looking for men’s and women’s winter coats, jackets, hats, scarfs, gloves, shoes, boots, warn sweaters, shirts, golf tops and vests. All summer clothing is on sale! Come on in and pick up super bargains. Please do not leave Donations at the shop when it is Closed. You may drop off your donations Wednesday thru Friday 11 am till 2 pm. Speak to Pamela at the shop if you are interested in volunteering or send an email to Jane in our church office.
