Seeking Your Input! There is a potential Fall Rummage Sale on 10/6 and 10/23. We are seeking feedback on whether we could get a lead for this event and at least a dozen workers. The lead would be responsible for getting supplies and starting change, advertising and having signs put out, lining up donations for a week of lunch food for the workers, having a sign-up list for workers to set up, clean up, work in Curtis Hall on clothing, set up the parlor with toys, work on linens in the solarium, set up pictures, lamps, small appliances and large knick-knacks, large dishware and holiday decorations, outdoor items in the solarium and narthex, get cashiers for the days of sale, schedule someone to pick up the left over items within an hour of the end of sale, and arrange for someone to collect and count the money. We need a lead and at least 12 workers to make this a go. We need to know if this is going to happen by Father’s Day at the latest. Please call the church if you are willing to lead this event or to be a cashier or a helper for setting up and for days of sale.
It’s Not Too Soon to Begin Finding Items for A Holiday Fair Gift Basket! You don’t have to fill a basket to contribute to this fun tradition. For years, our church has been known for having a fabulous array of baskets to sell at our fair. There are so many options! When you are shopping, if you see a sale on almost anything, it can go in a gift basket. Here are some ideas: lotions, powders, soaps, nail files, lip balm, essential oils, all kinds of fun-size snacks, Italian theme items, Cape Cod theme or beach theme, a Red Sox ball cap, Patriots theme items, Celtics, Bruins, gardening, movie night. Baskets can include themes of a baby shower, bridal shower, housewarming, kid’s birthday kid’s crafts. We’ve had donations of game tickets, theater tickets, use your imagination! There will be a large basket on the table in the solarium for you to donate items. Our dedicated team will fill and wrap the baskets from now until November at our Annex.
Outreach June Collection: raisins, cranraisins / other dried fruit, trail mix, nuts, granola bars, small cereal boxes or cereal bars, non-refrigerated pudding, applesauce, whole grain Fig Newtons, Skinny Pop popcorn (not microwave), and Del Monte 100 calorie canned fruit (peaches, pears, fruit cocktail). Please watch for those BOGO deals.
Change for Change A glass bottle for your change is near the food table in the solarium. The United Women in Faith (UMW) have put it there to collect money to ultimately aid local women and children. UWF Treasurer, Donna Bodley will take care of this change bottle weekly and we thank you for your donations.
Our Next Yard Sale will be on July 1, 2023. Donations may be brought to the Annex on Tuesday morning and any help the day of the sale is greatly appreciated. Call Priscilla Tinsley 978-337-0408.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry will be meeting in the parlor the 1st Sunday of each month between services from 9:30 – 10:00.
