Sunday, May 28, 2023 – Pentecost Sunday
Sermon: Let Us Remember that God is With Us!
Scripture: Acts 2:1-21, John 14: 25-27
Pentecost Sunday serves as a significant day in Christian history, commemorating the day the disciples were blessed with a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. According to Acts 2, a mighty wind coupled with tongues of fire descended upon people from all nations, who had gathered in Jerusalem to partake in a Jewish celebration. In this great manifestation of divine power, over three thousand individuals were baptized, laying the foundation for the first Christian church. It is due to this event that Pentecost is regarded as the birth of Christianity. To celebrate this special Sunday, we encourage you to wear RED to worship on May 28! Learn more about Pentecost here.
