But I was wrong.[/dropshadowbox]The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed, and apathy.” Speth went on to say that “to deal with those issues we need a spiritual & cultural transformation – & we scientists do not know how to do that.” This thought-provoking quote is included in the Spring 2019 quarterly periodical Reflections, published by Dean Gregory E. Stirling and Yale Divinity School. Dean Stirling goes on to say, “we must take up the ethical issue of sustainability & act as we can.” We can live more sustainable lives by thinking twice before going shopping, making sure our big purchases, like efficient homes & low-emission vehicles, have big environmental benefits, go plastic-free & using our voice and vote.
