Greetings Church,
As we continue to learn how to live into this new reality as a scattered, yet deployed church, here are some ways you can continue to support the church with your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
PRAYERS
[dropshadowbox align=”none” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#ffffff” border_width=”1″ border_color=”#dddddd” ]
Please pray for:
-all front-line workers
-Civic authorities as they make difficult decisions to keep people safe
-Mary Kerr, and family, after the death of Bill last week.
-Pastor Heather’s grandmother, Doris. She’s in the hospital after falling on Saturday and breaking multiple bones.
-Students and teachers who are missing end-of-year events, transitional moments, and rites of passage.
-All United Methodist Churches and clergy in a time of pastoral transition, and our District Superintendent Rev. Dr. Andrew L Foster, III as he moves to Eastern Pennsylvania. [/dropshadowbox]

Thank you to everyone who has supported our “a hero for Hero,” program. This important ministry will be expanding to include local nursing homes.
Stay tuned… Just a reminder that pledges, tithes, and offerings can be mailed to the church, or you can give through our online giving portal, or directly through your bank.
Questions? Just ask our financial secretary, Jane Gray, office@umchurches.org. Wondering what your spiritual gifts are?
Check out the Spiritual Gifts Inventory through umc.org. And let Pastor Heather know your results!

SERVICE
[dropshadowbox align=”none” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#ffffff” border_width=”1″ border_color=”#dddddd” ]
Thank you to everyone who dropped off lunches today for the Salvation Army. In honor of Mother’s Day this Sunday, please consider filling out cards or drawing pictures for moms in a local nursing home. Since we do not have specific names for the recipients, please use a general greeting: Dear friend, Dear Resident, Thinking of you, etc. Please feel free to sign your name, along with our church name, or just simply the church name. If your child makes a card or draws a picture, please consider including their age. Please drop cards and drawings off at the church no later than Friday, May 8th at 9 p.m. and place in the black weighted trash can that is clearly labeled in front of the church. As yet, the particular nursing home has not been determined. If you would like someone to pick up your cards, please call the Outreach Co-Chairs, Patty & Allen Morell. Please use gloves to write, stamp, and seal with water or scotch tape, not saliva.

WITNESS

How will you convey God’s love to the world this week? Consider a cheerful poster for your windows reminding your neighbors they are not alone, a thank you note for your postal carrier, a post of something beautiful on Facebook.
