As you are probably aware, Governor Baker issued a State of Emergency across the Commonwealth in response to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic. Although our church will remain open until further notice, we are implementing mitigation strategies during worship services to reduce risk.
Some of these strategies include:
Asking everyone to use hand sanitizer as they enter the church building.
Pastor Heather will not pass the offering plates, but instead will have them upfront where people can come forward to place their offering.
We discourage hand contact during the time when we pass peace and instead will encourage toe taps, elbow bumps and “namaste”.
Of course if the state, town, or County encourage churches to close, we will do so.
We also want to remind people, again, to stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please to call your physician for instructions.
We also hope you will review some simple ways that you can reduce risk and protect yourself and others from COVID-19. Go to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/prevention-treatment.html
Everyone has a role to play in reducing risk and protecting our community.
According to the latest CDC briefing on 3/9/20, older adults and people who have chronic medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease, are at a higher risk for COVID-19. Learn more at
