Greetings Church! How strange it feels to not be together as we begin our journey into Holy Week. Please know that I hold you in my heart and pray for you each day. I pray that you are safe, well, and that this time of uncertainty and isolation weighs not too heavily on your spirit. Know that I’m here if you need to talk, pray, vent, or simply hear a voice that doesn’t live in your own head or home.
As we find new ways to gather during Holy Week, I’ll be hosting brief, worshipful gatherings each evening, Monday-Friday at 6pm on Zoom. You’ll hear a variety of voices read the events of Holy Week as we work our way through the gospel of Mark. Saturday, the day we remember Jesus in the tomb, will be a day of silent waiting, with no shared worship experience.

Sunday is Easter, and we’ll celebrate separately, yet together. We’ll share worship via youtube, facebook and our church website. While we cannot be together, we have a variety of egg-stra special music for this day! Then at 11am we’ll gather for a virtual coffee hour. It’s been so fun to see and hear one another. Bring your own coffee. Easter Candy before lunch is ok, too. And remember, whenever we can come back together, we will celebrate Resurrection Sunday, as the body comes together.

For those of you who need to think about something beside Corona, Curves and Quarantines…let’s think about the Holiday Fair.
I received this note from the Annex Elves and I share it with you.
Dear Church Family,
Those of us who have worked in the Church Annex each year from February through to the Holiday Fair in November, have not been able to do so since mid March. Our Fair represents a significant part of our annual church income.
When can we get back to work? The answer is “We don’t know. “
What can our church family do to help?
#1 Go through magazines and catalogues. If you see something you like, cut it out and save it. Something small and cute? Something large and lovely? Cut it out. You can make it on your own or save the pictures and bring them to the Annex “when the time comes”.
#2 Reorganize your Christmas decorations. Anything you no longer want, save it to bring to the Annex “when the time comes”.
#3 The Gift Basket Room is very popular and successful at the Fair. Start making lists of basket ideas. Come up with something that we’ve never seen before! Maybe as you look through a magazine you’ll see something that triggers a new idea! Choose something that you love and make a basket.
It will be a great relief to us all when this terrible virus subsides. Until then please take good care. We believe that staying busy helps.
Love and prayers to our Church Family,
The Annex Elves

Dear Ones, as these days of uncertainty continue, remember they are temporary. This will end, and life will return to some version of normal. Until then, we continue to be the church beyond our building, reaching out in love to one another. We remain, Together in Christ…Committed to Serve.
Remember, God loves you and so do I.
Peace,
Heather
