Praying with Our Whole Selves: A Lenten Prayer Station
Each week during Lent we’ve had a prayer station in our solarium to help us pray in different ways. Consider making a prayer station in your home. Google prayer station and you’ll find more than you need, or pm me for ideas. This week you might try using your bathroom or bedroom mirror as focal point for prayer:
Jesus tell us to “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” -Matthew 22: 21
Made in the image of God, and you are loved.
Take a moment to truly look at yourself
Reflect on what the Holy (God/Christ/Spirit) see in you
Write the response you imagine from God/Christ/Spirit on a post-it-note and leave it on the mirror
If you live with others, consider writing other affirmations you want them to hear from you
Pray or journal your reflections.

Inspirational……thank you so much, Pastor Heather. The world would be a better place if everyone could hear your message.
I loved hearing the 23rd Psalm! Thank you again.
Thank you for the sermon and online service this morning. I will be reading the gospels to find the other version of the woman with the alabaster jar.
Heather, it was great to actually see a video sermon during this time of home sheltering! Hanford UMC is only able to post Pastor Pablo’s written inspirations and written brief services on our website. Susan’s audio only sermons are on her church’s website and her podcast with Kris Marshall, but they are both behind by months.
Hanford has no reported cases of the Coronavirus, although nearby Visalia, Tulare County and Fresno have daily reported cases. Prayers for all the world! Safety, Blessings and Love, Jan
Thank you Pastor Heather. It was wonderful to see and hear you. I can’t wait for our Church family to be together again. God Bless everyone and stay safe.
Heather, I so enjoyed and appreciate your message today. It is the first time I have seen you since you left Hanford. You look and sound just the same. Terrific. Roy called to give me the information to hear you. May you all be safe, well and happy.
Thank you, Pastor Heather. I too enjoy singing hymns. There are a lot of hymn websites – I like http://www.hymnal.net. I just supplemented your sermon with my own mini hymn sing! 🙂
Thank you Heather for your message and for reaching out to us this a.m. Any chance you could add a recorded hymn at the beginning or end? I do so miss connecting to God through music. If too hard understand😃 Bless you and your family each day.
