Thank you all so much for your wonderful support, good wishes, and prayers. They have helped me through an extremely busy and stressful time.
I am also deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to my retirement fund. I can’t adequately express how much your generosity means to me or how helpful it has been during this transition.
I truly miss my friends and everyone who made my time at this wonderful church such a meaningful and memorable experience. Please enjoy this picture of my plants and new chair—a little glimpse of how I’m settling in!

Our next yard sale is on Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Much help is needed! Volunteers are welcome to help with setup beginning at 7:30 AM and cleanup beginning at 1:30 PM.

Holiday Fair Sugar Cookie Christmas

Make a “one of a kind” for the gallery.
Chocolate Table
We need your help for the Chocolate Table at the Holiday Fair! We need fudge, hot fudge sauce, chocolate treats, and anything chocolate.
If you don’t know what to make, simple recipes for fudge, “crack,” hot fudge sauce, and other treats can be provided.
You can also fill a decorative jar with M&M’s or Peanut M&M’s, or create a basket with gourmet chocolate.

Craft Group on Tuesday Mornings!
The Craft Group is meeting again on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Annex. Whether you’re a longtime participant or have never attended before, we’d love to welcome you!
This talented and dedicated group creates many of the handmade items that make our annual Holiday Fair such a success. Come enjoy fellowship, creativity, and fun while helping support one of our church’s most cherished traditions.
No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and join us!

Miracle Kitchen Volunteers Needed
On the first Tuesday of every month, our church prepares and serves sandwiches, salads, and desserts for guests at the Salvation Army in Hyannis.
Salad Ingredient Donations Needed
Each month we need someone to bring the following ingredients to the church by 10:00 a.m. (earlier drop-off is welcome):
- 2 large plastic containers of lettuce
- 1 box of small tomatoes
- 1 English cucumber
- 1 orange or yellow bell pepper
The salads are assembled at the Salvation Army before the meal is served.
Substitute Volunteers Needed
We have a faithful team that serves each month, but occasionally we need substitute volunteers when someone is unavailable. If you’d be willing to help from time to time, please contact:

Help Local Students Start the School Year Strong
Throughout July and August, we are collecting new school supplies to support students in Barnstable schools.
Donations of the following items are greatly appreciated:
- Backpacks
- 1-subject notebooks
- 3-subject notebooks
- 3-hole soft pencil cases (for use inside binders)
- Glue sticks
- Sticky notes (3 different colors)
- 2-pocket plastic folders
- Composition notebooks
- Black Sharpies (thick and thin)
- #2 pencils
Thank you for helping local students begin the school year with the supplies they need to succeed!
Food Pantry
Starting in September, we are collecting Mac and Cheese for the Food Pantry.
🌈 Rainbow’s End is looking for donations!
If you’re cleaning out closets or have a few things around the house you no longer need, we’d love to have them at Rainbow’s End in Osterville.
We’re always grateful for new or gently used clothing, purses, shoes, jewelry, children’s clothing, small furniture, home décor, unique antiques, and even those new items you’ve been meaning to re-gift.
Every donation makes a difference. Proceeds from Rainbow’s End support the missions and ministries of the Osterville United Methodist Church.
And if you haven’t been in for a while, stop by and say hello! We have a friendly little shop, and you never know what you might find.

Wheels for Zeb & Barry
Rides to Sunday Worship – Volunteers Needed
We’re organizing rides for members of our church community who are eager to attend the 10:00 am Sunday service—and we’d love your help.
A sign-up calendar is available in the church office for those willing to drive.
- Zeb Olsen, who lives at 1 Buckskin Path in Centerville, is looking for a ride each Sunday.
- Barry Jones-Henry, a resident at Brookdale (just a short distance from Zeb), is also hoping to attend and would be deeply grateful for a ride.
With just one trip, you may be able to bring both to church.
Your time and kindness can make a meaningful difference—helping ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in worship and stay connected to our community.
